This is the Gibson USA 80s Explorer in an awesome all-ebony finish. The Explorer was already an iconic Gibson model, but became increasingly popular in the 80s as it was embraced by Hard Rock, Heavy Metal, Thrash and Glam guitarists. The '80s Explorer is an ode to the sought after 1984 models. Features include a gold screenprinted Gibson logo, fast-playing SlimTaper mahogany neck, and a new set of pickups called 80s Tribute humbuckers. They have a huge, fat sound with rich sustain. Free Shipping Policy
A few key things to note about how our Free Shipping offer works:
- Our Free Shipping offer is available in the US only. International addresses do not qualify.
- Only orders placed online through our website qualify for free shipping. Free Shipping cannot be included on phone or email orders.
- If you return your entire order, then the full cost of shipping will be deducted from any refund or credit.
- If you return only part of your order, then just the line item shipping cost will be deducted from your refund for each item returned.
- Used and Vintage items do not qualify for free shipping.
- New condition Oversized and Overweight items do not qualify for free shipping.
- Free Shipping may not be combined with other discounts or offers.
- Free Shipping is equal to economy ground shipping methods and may be shipped at our discretion.
Sales Tax
We collect sales tax for shipments to the states of Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin.
In-Stock Items
All products listed on our site as "in-stock" are available in our warehouse for immediate order. Our handling time to ship your order is generally one business day. Please allow 24 hours to receive your tracking number. Orders placed on weekends will not ship until the next available business day. If for some reason there is a delay processing your order, we will contact you right away.
Pre-Order Items
All products listed on our site as "pre-order" will be shipped once we receive them from the manufacturer. Every effort is made to keep accurate estimated delivery dates, but unfortunately the actual date your order will ship may vary due to circumstances out of our control. The full purchase price of a pre-order item will be billed to your payment method at checkout. Pre-order items ship as soon as they are available at no extra cost to you. If your order has multiple items, in-stock products will ship immediately. For additional purchase options, please contact our sales team.
Packaging
Most items ship in the original manufacturer's box. Every item that leaves Lyric Loom is professionally packed and fully insured for the purchase price. We ship many items every day, and our shipping department knows how to keep your gear safe during transit.

International Orders
International shipments are generally subject to Customs Duties (VAT Charges) above and beyond the purchase price and shipping charged by Lyric Loom. We do not lower declared values on international packages. Customers should consult Customs in their own country about these additional charges prior to purchasing. We also provide the ability for select countries to pre-pay customs and import duties right on checkout. For a customs quote, add an item to your cart and enter checkout to see rates. Unfortunately import duties and taxes cannot be refunded or reimbursed if you elect to return your order.
Other Shipping Agents (i.e. FedEx, DHL)
You may choose to use your own shipping account, but you'll need to contact our sales department for arrangements. In using your own shipping account you assume all liability for damaged and lost shipments, though we can assist you in providing documentation regarding the value of the item. We strongly encourage you to insure your shipment for the full purchase price.
Damaged Goods
If an item arrives with any issue or amount of damage not disclosed prior to purchase, please hold the item, be sure to retain all packing materials and contact us immediately. Please allow us the opportunity to help prior to lodging a claim with your credit card company or PayPal. We will arrange for the item to be picked up and inspected immediately. Please do not send the item back yourself unless instructed by Lyric Loom, this will greatly complicate the process. We will work with you to replace the item or refund you in full if the item is not replaceable.

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
