The Kramer SM-1 is an easy go-to, built of a solid mahogany body with a through-neck design, ebony fretboard, and loaded with two Seymour Duncan Cool Rails pickups, as well as a JB humbucker in the bridge for both chimey cleans and red-hot leads. The humbucker is also splittable so that you can get that single-coil bridge quack out of the guitar, too!
