Lerxst by Alex Lifeson Limelight Guitar with Floyd Rose Signed
Lerxst by Alex Lifeson Limelight Guitar with Floyd Rose Signed
This is a signed Lerxst Limelight by Alex Lifeson, autographed on the back of the headstock by the man himself! The story of the Limelight starts in the early 1980s with the iconic Moving Pictures album: Alex Lifeson needed a guitar to execute his expanding sonic ideas and resulted in the creation of the Hentor Sportscaster. These were highly modified S-style guitars that became synonymous with Rush and Alex's playing in the 1980s.
To bring these guitars back to life, Alex's brand Lerxst has teamed up with the Canadian guitar company Godin to create the new Limelight guitar. Ahead of the release of the iconic Moving Pictures album, Lifeson sought a fresh instrument to bring to life his increasingly expansive sonic ideas. His desire for versatile tonality within an intuitive form factor resulted in the creation of the original Hentor Sportscasters– highly modified S-Type guitars that became synonymous with Alex’s sounds and guitar style in the 1980s. We're very happy to see this legendary guitar re-released for the public to play on and appreciate! There are two versions available with either the Vega tremolo or a Floyd Rose Original tremolo - this one features the latter.
